Work scope estimates: Costs and Timeline

An official or binding quote for cost of services cannot be made until the furniture pieces are personally inspected by a Collected Works master craftsman.
We are able to move in the direction of a general estimate if quality picture images are sent to our attention.  This general estimate is not binding.

Detailed invoices representing the official cost estimate will include the costs of each of these elements if they apply:

-- Pick-up and/or Drop-off costs

-- Materials

-- Craftsmanship, Labor

-- Painting, Staining, Shellacking

Once you as our client agree to the official quote for total costs, work is performed at a half due at start half due at finish policy, meaning a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the project is reqired before the job will be initiated.

The balance of 50% is due when the repair or restoration job is finished and the piece/s are returned to the client.

When a job is complete but the client does not take delivery of their furniture a fee of $10 per piece of furniture per week will be added to the total cost, beginning one week after the client is notified the job is complete.  If you have a difficult circumstance causing you a delay in taking back your furniture please discuss the matter with us and in turn understand for us workspace is a premium.  We will make an effort to work with you.

 

Forms of Payment

 

While checks are accepted, the more swift electronic transactions done via credit cards, debit cards or PayPal are preferred.

Checks are made out to "The Collected Works".  Post dated checks are discouraged.  If a check takes a week to clear please understand the job will not be started until your check has cleared with our bank.
