Antique Wicker Sales & Restoration

Wicker was a favorite prop for photographers.  It added a three dimensional look to an otherwise flat photograph.  The Collected Works has amassed a large collection of old photographs, postcards and trade cards which used wicker as props.  We are posting some of the more whimsical ones for your enjoyment.  Of course the wicker is used as a backdrop but we like to think of it as the real subject of the photo.

This first group of postcards are of some very lovely ladies.  You could call them the original swimsuit models c. 1910.

 These are explicit photos of women's shoulders, arms, knees & ankles (and some very delectable cabana chairs).

The caption of this photo is "STOP KIDDING ME".

Side note:  We had the privilege of having this wicker fireplace screen in our private collection for many years.  It now has a new home in another private collection.
